The trident maple begins broadly columnar, then overtime it turns into a rounded canopy shape. Deciduous. Leaves turn mainly yellow, sometimes flushed with red autumn colour. A tough maple for exposed sites and is somewhat tolerant of drought once established. Responds well to hedge trimming. Excellent choice for a street tree.
