A very attractive maple with typical five-lobed maples leaves. The new leaves are a rich purple turning a bright crimson-red in autumn. Can be planted in large containers. Grow in full sun to part shade. Prefers moist, well drained soil and protection from hot winds or they tend to suffer leaf burn.
